Ingredients:
• Black carrot (peeled and chopped)
• Beetroot (peeled and chopped)
• Heeng 
• Mustard seeds powder
• Black salt or regular salt 
• Ginger (optional)

Recipe:
• Boil water and let it cool at room temperature.
• Add carrots, beets, mustard powder, black salt, heeng, and ginger to a pot or big container.
• Pour the water into the mixture and stir well
• Cover the container with a loose lid or muslin cloth. Keep it under sunlight and let it ferment for 2-3 days.
• Ensure not to over ferment the drink

4. Hot apple cider
Hot homemade apple cider is a real deal during the winter and even in the fall. 

Ingredients:
• Unsweetened apple juice
• Cloves
• Cinnamon
• Jaiphal
• Black peppercorns
• Maple syrup (Optional)
• Orange zest (optional)

Recipe:
• Combine all the spices with the apple juice and cook until the aroma covers the house
• For sweetness, add maple syrup. 
• Once it comes to boiling, let it simmer for 15 minutes.

5. Mulled wine
Even if it sounds crazy, mulled wine is the perfect boozy and warm beverage for your winter evenings. 

Ingredients:
• Red wine 
• Cinnamon sticks
• Cloves
• Lemon zest
• Star anise
• Castor sugar

Recipe:
• Put wine, cinnamon, cloves, star anise, lemon zest, and sugar in a pan and cook on low heat
• Let it cool down for 30 minutes.
• Serve

6. Kesar dhoodh

Ingredients:
• Milk
• Pinch of saffron (Kesar)
• Sugar
• Cardamom powder
• Rose essence (options)
• Silvered almonds (optional)

Recipe:
• Soak saffron in hot water and keep it aside for 30 minutes
• Put a pan and boil the milk. Simmer it for a few minutes.
• Add saffron water and stir continuously.
• Add sugar, cardamom powder, and rose essence and mix well. Simmer for a few more minutes 
• Put the heat off and cool it completely before serving. Served chilled for better flavor 

7. Creamy latte
A good winter season is incomplete without good coffee, and a creamy latte is the best choice. 

Ingredients:
• Milk
• Whipped cream
• Expresso or your favorite strong coffee
• Sugar
• Caramel (optional)
• Cinnamon powder (Optional)

Recipe:
• Add milk to a mason jar and shake until frothy.
• Add sugar to hot water and stir.
• Pour the sugar mixture into the mug
• Add milk without foam and then add expresso 
• Top it off with foam, caramel, and cinnamon powder for the finishing touch.
